Following Chris’ unprecedented sweep at the IBC, he began playing shows with Blues/Rock greats
such as Bonnie Raitt, Sherman Robertson, Tab Benoit, and Delbert McClinton (to name a few). Chris
continued to ride this wave through the early 2000’s, all the while maintaining his goal of earning his
college degree; a degree in business.
Over the next decade, Chris moved around the U.S. with his business career. Wherever he was,
though, he always made time to perform. He even released two albums!
In an unpredictable twist, Chris’ job moved him back to Arkansas in 2009. Within a few months, he put
together a group, and began performing again---but this time, with the financial freedom to do whatever
he wanted musically. This gave rise to the idea of organizing a large blues project, complete with
horns. That band is Chris’ primary project in 2011. It is sure to be a year to remember!

Chris Cameron was born in Fort Smith, AR in 1979.
He began playing guitar at 12 years old, where he
immediately discovered a passion for blues, gospel
and R&B music. At age 15, Chris began playing
with several groups. His parents were set on the
idea of exposing Chris to as many musical styles
as he could digest. It was the beginning of a great
music education!
Chris fronted his first blues band in 1996. Though
he was still very rough musically, people still took
notice. After one performance, Linda Seubold (then
of the Fort Smith Times Record) wrote “I predict
people will buy $30 tickets to see Chris one day.”
Other such accolades followed, but the best was yet
to come.
In 1997, Chris participated in the International Blues
Challenge held in Memphis, Tennessee. There he
competed with 37 bands from all over the world.
That weekend, Chris won first place in the overall
contest, and also won the Albert King Award for
“Most Promising International Blues Guitarist.”
